SNOQUALMIE VINEYARDS CHENIN BLANC $6.99 A crisp off-dry wine that shows off a mouthful of ripe melon, pear and peach flavors that linger on and on in the finish. Fruitiness is balanced with bright acidity characteristic of Washington state fruit. A tasty sipping wine alone, or with a meal. LAS BRISAS $9.59 Las Brisas has a wide open, ripe array of fruity and grassy aromas that attack the nose on first sniff. In the mouth it is a bright, open, colorfully fruitful and refreshing white wine filled with gobs of ripe white fruits: green grapes, white peach, apricot, pear, granny smith apple, grapefruit, and lime-y citrus. Its juicy and crisp at the same time; it may as well be a glass of fruit salad. An excellent edge of acidity makes it a great match for white meats and seafood, and doubles as a thirst quencher. A slight touch of perceived peachy sweetness makes it a good foil for hot and spicy dishes. This is a great choice for a summer barbecue; also a great segue wine for those trying to escape white zindom and enter the world of real fine wine. FRED LOIMER LOIS LANGENLOIS GRUNER VELTLINER 2004 $11.99 Color: Very pale greenish straw. Aromas: Lightly floral, citrusy limey-lemon, grassy green apples. The mouthfeel is very light, tart, juicy yet crisp. Green apple, starfruit and lemongrass flavors are supported by hints of minerals and white pepper. The finish is crisp, nicely austere and palate cleansing. Voga Pinot Grigio $11.99 Crisp and refreshing, with good fruit intensity up front, all leading into a subtle and soft finish. Great packaging and makes a perfect gift. Get in on the new trend in Pinot Grigio. CHATEAU BONNET $11.99 From the Bordeaux house of Andre Lurton, this is a modern wine from a very traditional area. From the Entre-Deux-Mers, it is a blend of Sauvignon, Semillon and Muscadelle. Incredibly vibrant and zippy, with citrussy notes and that lovely waxy texture from the Semillon. Andre Lurton is now over 80, but as sharp as nails, and loves being in the forefront of the region in technology and packaging. Ch Bonnet is in Screwcap, as he believes this is the future. SHALE RIDGE CHARDONNAY $8.99 Tropical aromas of pineapple, mango, and banana are nicely balanced with a hint of French oak flavor. Medium-bodied in structure, this wine is soft and round on the palate, an excellent match with a wide array of lighter fare. |

Two-Tone Farm Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2002 $10.99 The aromas coming off this wine smell like someone is firing up the grill next door, the meaty, smoky aromas coming over the fence into your yard. On the palate, this Cabernet Sauvignon is straight forward, with notes of black currant, cherry and potting soil, with a smooth fruit finish. CONCANNON 2003 PETITE SIRAH, Central Coast $11.99 This Selected Vineyard Petite Sirah is a full-bodied, rich and intense wine. It exhibits full soft tannins and primary fruit flavors of cherry, dark berry and blueberry. Secondary flavors of chocolate and cassis are complex with hints of toast and creamy oak. Our Petite Sirah is a wine that is delicious now, and also has tremendous potential if aged. Enjoy with teriyaki beef dishes, and any wild game or organically raised red meat recipes. MARIETTA CELLARS Old Vine Red Lot #38 $10.99 For you consumers out there who are new to Old Vine Red, it is a proprietary red wine that is round, smooth, somewhat Zinfandel-like, and noted for its balance, approachability, and consistency. For you Old Vine Red veterans, Old Vine Red Lot 38 differs from Lot 37 in that there is a slightly higher percentage of Zinfandel in 38 which always adds to the dense juicy blackberry flavors. CHATEAU DU PAVILLON BORDEAUX 2003 $12.99 Brilliant, clear color. Red berry and blackcurrent aromas Round with tannic structure Frank and elegant finale. Wine-food combinations: pork, red meats, cheese. To share with friends. Drinking temperature: 16/18°. Can also be served chilled in hot weather. DI MAIO NORANTE SANGIOVESE $9.99 Made in the region of Ramitello, on a 22 ha vineyard, this blend is 100% Sangiovese and is delightfully fresh and fruity with a luscious bouquet of voilets, redberries, cherries and leather. Matured in tuns, not in barrels, the wine remains harmonious and refined with intense fruity aromas which would otherwise have been altered by overpowering smoky aromas Luzon Verde Jumilla 2004 $9.99 The dense ruby/purple-tinged, medium-bodied 2004 Luzon Verde reveals a crisp, elegant, sweet nose of blueberries, plums, lavender, and anise. With lovely sweetness and purity as well as a spicy, long finish, this offering represents a superb bargain. |
